I was dead, was dead to the world.
It's not fair.
I never hurt them.
Without meaning to be, I was different from anybody.
I can't stand them.
They never went anywhere,
Never did anything,
Didn't say anything.
Young and innocent to cold-blooded mean
China-blue to blue, blazing ice.
I was alone too much,
So I'm not like them.
Not bright-eyed or like seeing bright sunlight from the darkness.
I finally broke, it had been long enough.
In the moonlight, I loned it.
Nobody says anything, nobody notices.
Too fast, too calmly, eyes burning.
They darkened, oddly gentle.
A long walk and no company,
I ain't got nobody.
